The Hewlett-Woodmere Public Schools Endowment Fund (HWPSEF) is an independent organization of alumni, families, and friends of Hewlett-Woodmere Public Schools. It is designed to establish an endowment through fundraising that will provide a continuing and sustainable source of support for projects to enrich the learning experience of all Hewlett-Woodmere Public Schools' students.
"A Night of Comedy" is always a popular event on our calendar. Just what we all need to warm up a cold winter Friday night! And it's been sold out every year. The plan this year was to be the event to re-open The Sands at Lido Beach in the wake of the damage they received from Hurricane Sandy. Unfortunately the renovations, in spite of pushing our date from January to February, will not be completed in time. Instead, we will hold the event at the Bridgeview Yacht Club which was also heavily damaged by Sandy. Their renovations are done and the work is beautiful!
Can't make it to the show? You can still help out a family that has been severly effected by Hurricane Sandy. The HWPSEF is working with school district and community organizations to identify local families that could use some “comic relief” after suffering severe losses from Sandy. When you purchase tickets and check the "Donate My Tickets" box your tickets will be given free to families hit hard by Hurricane Sandy.
Tickets are $65 each which includes Cocktail Hour, Sit Down Dinner & Dessert, three Commedians, a DJ/Dancing and exciting Fundraising Activities.
