The purpose, aside from raising money for the fund, was to introduce (or re-introduce) the fund to parents and the community. We took this opportunity to explain the mission of the fund, why the fund is essential to our children, school district and community and to let parents know what the fund has planned for the year in terms of future events and what programs we propose to use the Endowment Fund for. We also gained new members and most importantly new ideas for allocation of the fund. Comedians Johnny Lampert (married to a teacher) and Tina Giorgi (a former teacher) were histerical and topical!
